MOSELLE TOUR 2020

A lovely tour where you can enjoy riding, relaxing, leisure activities, doing nothing, or having a coffee in one of many cafes where we stay. This is a trip that has options for everyone while staying in first-class accommodation including garage parking for the bikes.

 

Our trip to the Eifel region of Germany sees us taking a scenic and relaxing ride down to the fabulous village situated right on the Moselle. We stay in some superb places on the way, and then 6 nights in this beautiful village with a rich variety of options to choose from. The landscape and scenery around this area is superb whether you see it by bike, foot, river or bicycle such is the diversity of options from which to explore the locality.

 

The Romans were the first to recognise the suitability of the steep slopes for growing the Reisling vine, and this tradition was refined later by the Monks and Nuns of local Monasteries, the traditions of which can be evidenced in local architecture. There are many vineyards around the area and you cannot escape the vine growing atmosphere, or wine tasting options which it would be rude of us not to enjoy some of during our stay.

Naturally being situated next to the Moselle river, boat trips are readily available and allow you to see the area from a different perspective while enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. There is a train station about ten minutes from the Hotel and so exploring a little further afield is easily possible, or this could be utilised if a partner wished to join the tour without the riding. 

 

There is plenty to see and enjoy in the village so relaxing in the hotel and just going for a walk around the village and along the river is always an option. Equally going for a ride around this beautiful area, there are so many wonderful villages to visit and we usually include a trip out to view the Nurburgring facility and racetrack.
